For one of the first times this semester, I’m having writer’s block. Let’s once again chronicle my nightly adventures. Maybe something interesting will come of it.
I returned from Thanksgiving break on Sunday night, and sat and talked with a few friends. I found it odd that when I asked others about their breaks, they said things like, “it was alright,” or, “yeah, good,” in ...

I've shared some pictures of Rebekah's year in Saint Petersburg already, but here are some pictures of her other travels around Russia.

The Sun is Setting (This is a Horrible Metaphor, but I Also Mean it in the Literal Sense, so it’s Okay.)
Guys, I can’t help it, my entries are getting prosier and prosier like some nostalgic disease. There’s this song by this random Icelandic band called Seabear that my dad showed me on NPR when I was 14 that had one lyric that sang “I miss you even when you’re around,” which I’ve since firmly agreed with, and this agreement is manifesting itself in my crazy (ha, yeah right) life...

Questions of Registration
I know what you may be thinking. Registration issues? But you’re a senior! You get top priority! You don’t have registration issues!
Au contraire, mon ami. True, I am a senior, and true, I did already get to register yesterday. However, my registration time wasn’t until 4:15, and seeing as I, like many other seniors, am almost done with all my requirements I wanted to ...

I learned th...

Back at Pomona After Thanksgiving Break
I really miss break... but I am at school, so I'll have to deal with that somehow.
Thanksgiving break ends today, and classes resume tomorrow. As such, I have packed my belongings, my new clothes from Black Friday, and my homework that I may or may not have finished, and headed back for my prison dorm room.

Journal 5- Thanksgiving Break, Movies, Black Friday Shopping
I'd looked forward to this weekend to catch up with old high-school friends who've left to college up in NorCal.
Firstly, though, there's family to attend to during Thanksgiving. As I do every year, I had lunch at my grandparents' house, which consists of turkey and some side dishes. Then for dinner there's a deep-fried turkey and shrimp and stuff like that.
At about 8:50...

Happy Thanksgiving!
This Thanksgiving weekend I am in Northern California spending time with my grandparents, cousins and my great grandma. Thursday night we had an amazing spread with everything from ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, and a stuffing recipe that has been in my family for five generations (my favorite!). Since Thursday night, I have been enjoying the company of my family and have eaten...
