When (Studying) in Pearsons

I think I’m not the only one who finds it difficult to sit down, open books, and study for my midterms. The internet is a distracting thing, and having my chemistry book saved onto my laptop and not in book form makes it so much more difficult.

That is why I like to go to Pearsons at night to study.

Actually, this is my first time doing this. Inspired by Yi Li, who goes to random, abandoned academic buildings to study late at night to avoid human interaction, I thought I’d give it a try. It’s not working yet—I am still on various social media websites. Maybe my mind is on Thanksgiving break already.

I do think, though, that this is far less distracting than my room. Where else is better than a place without a bed that I can just lie on and accidentally fall asleep?

I think Persons Hall is home to the Classics department here at Pomona. Having taken some Lingua Latina classes at high school, I can say that seeing posters of Romans and people in togas brings back some memories.

(When in Rome… When [studying] in Pearsons… same thing.)

But, enough of that. Enough Facebook, enough Tumblr, enough Youtube, enough One Direction. I need to study.
