T-Swizz

I realise that my recent posts have had very little to do with actual school work, and neither does this one, so I feel the need to reassure my parents anyone reading that I am, in fact, doing a lot of school work as well. It just so happens that I often find myself doing bloggable, non-school-related things on Mondays and Tuesdays that I feel the need to share. Now that that’s out of the way…

The much anticipated Taylor Swift concert was last night at Big Bridges and I was lucky enough to get a ticket in the lottery. For those who don’t know the back story, there was a contest to win a Taylor Swift concert at your school by voting online. The Claremont College students, as clever as they are, realised that the results took the number of students into consideration, so all voted for Harvey Mudd (the smallest 5C) in order to maximise our chance of winning. And it worked. So last night, T-Swizz stopped by Claremont in order to film part of VH1’s Storytellers series. Because the concert was being taped for television, we had to do some audience reaction shots before the show. Apart from the standard cheering, we also had to laugh, chuckle and then start to applaud, and aaawwwwww at a hypothetical adorable story. After that was out of the way, we got to hear about 6-7 songs with audience questions peppered in between. The idea was that the concert was a “conversation” between us and Taylor. Here is T-Swizz introducing the concept and the show. Unfortunately, my singing in the background of all the videos of her songs make them unsharable. Sorry.
