Orientation Adventure

Llama llama llama llama. Llama llama llama llama. I’m pretty sure I was chanting that in my sleep last night, but it’s time for OA!! I’m off to Yosemite this morning (a 6 hour bus ride – yay!). And despite the 4:45 wake up, I am pumped!

I’m not going to lie, the OA group kind of scared me at first. I’m sure all the students remember their Move-In Day; shuffling along towards the front gates, not really sure of where to go and just following the crowd (or maybe that was just me), and then the sheer madness as you reached the OA leaders. I don’t think I can do their enthusiasm justice. (I did appreciate all the high fives though.) And don’t even get me started on the welcome in Little Bridges. I’m pretty sure most of the freshman class was exhausted by that point, I know I was, and constant cheering for absolutely everyone and everything was pretty overwhelming. I’m just trusting Dean Feldblum when she said that it would all make sense in a few weeks.

But after meeting our OA groups yesterday afternoon, I’m really excited to be heading off (not that I wasn’t before). So see you all when we get back. Quite literally I realised, because the campus will soon be full. It’s really all happening!
