Wait, We Have to Go Learn Things Now?

As multiple people on every form of social media have now reminded me, the unofficial end to summer 2012 is now upon us with the arrival of Labor Day. This being the first year I have not had a week or more of buffer between move-in and class, I’m having a bit of trouble coping with the fact that the long and most likely break-free fall semester is waiting for me when I wake up tomorrow morning. Considering I don’t exactly know which classes I’m enrolled in right now (fingers crossed on those 6 PERM requests!) and what textbooks I may or may not need, the imminent arrival of my academic proceedings becomes even more nerve-wracking. It’s a darn good thing that my expansive two years of college wisdom has come to teach me that no one actually teaches much the first few weeks of class. By that I mean that there is a decent amount of time before first assignments or tests come along. Long live the Summer!
